Hey!
I’ve been a graphic designer since 2006. Your business deserves amazing branding no matter what phase you’re in and I’m here to help!
For this week of my blogiversary month, I thought it’d be fun to do a Q + A! Ask in the comments below and I will visit back to this post to answer any questions you may have. If it’s a quick answer, I’ll respond in the comments. If it’s a longer one or will take some more thought I’ll make a blog post out of it in the future!
RULES:
• You can ask anything you want, but please remember that everyone has boundaries.
• If I feel a question is either overly-personal or creepy, I reserve the right to not publish (or answer) it.
• You have between now and Friday, October 25th to get your questions in! I’ll answer in the comments as the questions come in. If a lot of you are interested in something specific that requires a longer answer, I’ll do my best to turn it into a future post.
I will try to get to all of the questions this week! So ask away!

Hi Ciera,
Thanks for hosting this Q + A! Your blog is very pretty.
My question is along with Kathryn. I’m very curious on how to monetize my blog, including offering sponsorship posts. What are your tips & how did you begin gaining sponsorships?
Thanks,
Stephanie
Hello Stephanie, thanks! This is a bit of a longer answer so I’ll add it to my blog schedule, but check out what I told Kathryn below and a few other things here:
You can start out with an option like Google AdSense which can be a great passive income.
Or you can decide to monetize your blog by promoting your services/products etc…
As for sponsored posts, sidebar ads etc., I’ll get to work on a post about that!
Hello! I am just starting a blog – I do some photography and am a full-time graphic designer at a corporation. I LOVE peeking at your blog on a regular basis! 🙂 Anyway.. how did you go about getting sponsorship for your blog and when did you know it was the right time to create enough value for your sponsors? I do not have nearly enough readers at this point, but was curious as to when you took the leap into offering that on yours!
Thanks Ciera!

Hello Kathryn, thanks for the kind words! You have great content which is the first step, so that is good! This is a bit of a longer answer so I’ll add it to my blog schedule, but I’ll tell you how I started here: I started out by trading sidebar spaces with other bloggers, I reached out mainly to ones the same size as me and a few with larger readership. Many of them said no, but some said yes and I think these relationships really helped me to grow! I blogged for two years before I began accepting advertising. Many people don’t wait that long but monetizing this blog just wasn’t a priority when I started out. I blog because I love doing it, but a little extra income always helps!
This is so fun! You may have answered this before, but what is your favorite thing about blogging?
Thanks Kory! I love meeting (online & real life) new people that I probably would have never had contact with if not for blogging. I love hearing about adventures of other bloggers who work for themselves and following along with other creatives!
