Hey!
I’ve been a graphic designer since 2006. Your business deserves amazing branding no matter what phase you’re in and I’m here to help!
Hey guys, I’d love to welcome the lovely Carly to the blog today! Y’all have to check her blog out, so much awesome stuff from fashion week including sneak peeks from backstage like she is sharing with us today!
Hi Everyone, it’s great to be guest posting on Ciera’s beautiful blog. I studied fashion design and worked in New York City in the fashion industry for a few years. About six months ago, I decided to combine my passions of photography and the artistic elements I love about fashion into the blog Carlytati.com.
Working in the industry has taken me around the world to many interesting places working with very talented and dedicated people and my friends and family in other fields were constantly wondering what my job was like. What did I see? What was I doing during all those trips to places like India to Italy. The blog is a journey in photos of things I find interesting or beautiful to share with you some of the things related to fashion from behind the scenes. I can’t resist to have some food and travel on there too, that’s just part of the journey! Thanks for reading~~
Backstage at the Herve Leger New York Fashion Week show was full of energy and excitement for the collection. It was a huge backstage area for hair, makeup and dressing, and yet it was packed with people eager for a first look from all around the world. The press was clicking away with their cameras, capturing the beauty preparations. The celebrities were talking with Lubov and Max Azria about their inspirations for the season and getting a sneak peek before the looks hit the runway.
The models were being made up into the vision of the strong and confident women of the Herve Leger presentation for Spring 2014. Drawing on their signature body conscious silhouettes, the twist was in the pops of prints inspired by polynesian body art. Other details included fringes that moved as the models walked.
The makeup look was created by Val Garland of team Sephora and was inspired by a beach goddess, all bronzed and glowy. So what were the products used to achieve those subtly smoldery eyes?
1. Apply a bronzer in the socket line to create a natural looking shadow.
2. Apply Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con Plush Shadow in colors The Glam and The Lolita.
3. Sephora’s Waterproof Smoky Cream Liner in Must Have
4. Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Blacquer
5. Buxom mascara on the lashes
As the models lined up to take the catwalk, I left backstage just in time to watch the show! So there you have it, a snapshot from backstage. I’m looking forward to trying the smoky eye look at home. Do you think you will try it?

Now I live in jumpers and jeans, which feels so alien. It’s like I just cant be bothered with dresses right now, and so little of my vintage repro wardrobe is breastfeeding friendly. Your post has made me feel a little less lazy and a little less alone.Fashion
Style exists as two universes today, the genuine and the shallow. I feel design is terribly misconstrued and censured in the contemporary sense. In the shallow universe of design, it is seen as the benefit of the supposed upper strata of the general public.swimwear
Hi,
LA’s highly rated celebrity Master Barber/ Scalp Micropigmentation artist on the West Coast is what sets me apart from the rest of the local SMP practitioners.smp mobile
Love that first outfit! I always hesitate to experiment with color pairings in unique ways, but I love how you pulled off that green vest and navy gingham combo! Adorable!swim wear

Great advice. Layering is essential when you live in the mountains. We also try to make sure all of our clothes will go with several different pieces, that way the clothing can be worn more times without seeming the same. Definitely some helpful tips.scrunchies and headbands

You have a really cool blog!
Fantastic! And you are looking great in them. I think I will need to share this with my wife too. She has been having issues with styling out herself using just the clothes in her closet. She will surely love this.sustainability

I just thought I’d let you know that the Facebook Share isn’t working, just in case you need to know. I did share on my Fun and Funky Clothing board on Pinterest but wanted to share to FB. Will try back later in case the share is just having issues! women’s poncho scarf
Cute clothes! And what great deals!
If only I could remember to do this–we’re just now running out of hand-me-downs for our 4-year old, so I need to get it in gear!fashion
My budget has zero room for buying clothes right now. Is it possible to join the Style Me Pretty challenge just to get ideas? Goodness knows my wardrobe could use the help when there are funds in the budget!Matterhorn
Woww! This is amazing! I was actually at the even that year and I can’t just forget all the glamour and excitment that filled the air. You ar doing great with your pasion, Carli. I will sure check out your blog now also. Keep up the good energy.
wow! just found your blog through Things I Love Thursday over at The Diaper Diaries … love it! And I love all your cute new clothes! I too love clearance shopping and out-of-season shopping! I don’t have kids (yet), but I do it for my hubby’s (and my) clothes! Especially with the economy the way it is, and how prevalent sales are these days, you’d be silly to ever pay full price!yoga shorts
Ugh. My clothing budget is approximately $0 right now (two babies, maternity leave, and a temporarily unemployed husband will do that to you). That will change eventually, but in the mean time you are killing me! You look so cute!! I am mentally putting gingham, brown/tan booties, and quilted sneaks on the want list.Joker coat
