So a few people asked about the globes I made for the safari baby shower I shared a few weeks ago and they were actually really easy! I had some glass globes left over from this air plant terrarium project and thought they’d be super cute as a table display! I purchased the toy animals from Amazon, then just primed them with white and spray painted them gold! I sprinkled a little bit of course gold glitter into the bottoms of the globes and just carefully placed the animals on top after they were dry. The ones I made were not permanent, but you could easily glue everything down if you were planning to reuse them!

What size were the patterned paper circles you placed underneath the globes?

Love this idea! What size globes are those? How big is the opening in inches? Thanks.
Hey there, thanks! There is a link in the post to the exact globes I ordered from Amazon!
Love this idea! What kind of spray paint did you use? Was is specifically for plastics? Did you clear coat them afterwards as well?
Hey Kirsten! Just used regular spray paint, nothing special! I did not clear coat them, but that may be a good idea, I noticed a bit of chipping if I was rough with them…
I love the idea, is very easy, but i need the glass globe mmmm
Thanks! I linked to the globes I purchased in the post 🙂
Oh my goodness I love this! Then again it is gold and toy animals so of course I would
Thanks! I was pretty proud of myself for this idea 🙂
