I’m back to Boston. I had a lovely long weekend in Maine. We explored Fort Popham, drank yummy hard cider, grilled up some hamburgers and hot dogs, ate A LOT, spent nights under the stars in our tent and just relaxed in the beautiful weather! How was your long weekend?
AHH. Fort Popham is so close to where I live! I’m just a few towns away.
Sometime when you’re up here we should do coffee or something!
oh cool! That would be nice!
I love your pictures! I’m originally from Maine and go back every couple months to visit my parents. I grew up right outside Portland and I miss Maine a lot. Anyway, I found your blog via BBN and I adore it!
I’m going back in 2 weeks when my parents come up from New Orleans to visit me and I can’t wait!
WOW I love love your pictures, looks like a great weekend. I plan on making a trip to Maine this summer with my daughter and boyfriend. Any recommendations on where to go??
Thank you! I always go to Edgecomb since that is where my boyfriend’s grandmother lives. There are lots of great towns around there too, Bath, Damariscotta, Wiscasset and Portland is also great if you are looking for more of a city! I don’t really think you can go wrong, it is all so beautiful!
Such beautiful pictures of Maine! I used to go up to Maine for a week every summer when I was a kid. I live on the coast of New Hampshire now, so I suppose I’m not too far away from Maine goodness, but I haven’t been up there besides trips to Portland for awhile now.
Glad you had such an awesome weekend!
I drive from Boston and it’s not too bad except when there is traffic on holiday weekends!
If there’s one thing I miss about leaving New England, it’s summer trips up to Maine.
that is one of the perks for sure!
Your blog is gorgeous! Love the layout, colors and photos…. so well done.
Plus, I’m also a super fan of Maine. We had the chance to go to Brooklin, Maine last year and it was one of my top vacations ever. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
So glad to come across your blog. We are looking forward to you joining in Blog Brunch on Saturday!

Thank you so much Amy! Can’t wait for Saturday!
Beautiful pictures. It seems like a very idyllic place to barbeque, explore, and roll in the grass.
(You mean to tell me you can put oregano in hard cider…!?)
I thought the oregano was crazy too, but it is so good! First time for everything 🙂
Wow! Great photos! Have never been to Maine but really, really want to check it out, especially in the Fall. Found you through Esty Blog Team.
Thanks Jany! It is such a beautiful place, I’m lucky that my boyfriend’s grandmother lives there so we always have a nice place to stay 🙂
