Arnold Arboretum Part 2 [Boston Photo Tour]

As you are reading this, Zander and I will be heading out on the road from Maine to New Orleans! When my parents were up visiting we took a trip to The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. I had been once before but my dad is a plant lover so I waned him to check it out.

Old North Church [Boston Photo Tour]

The Old North Church, in the North End of Boston, was built in 1723 and is the oldest active church building in Boston. It is also the location from which the famous “One if by land, and two if by sea” signal is said to have been sent. This phrase is related to Paul Revere’s midnight ride, of April 18, 1775, which preceded the Battles of Lexington and Concord during the American Revolution.

Boston Common & Public Garden [Boston Photo Tour]

Here we continue on the Boston Photo Tour! The starting point of the Freedom Trail, Boston Common is the oldest park in the country and the Public Garden is America’s first public botanical garden. I just love meandering the Public Garden’s paths looking at the lagoon, monuments, fountains, musicians and the swan boats! When my sister was in town, we picked up lunch from a food truck and brought it to the park to people watch.

Exploring the Weekend Away

It was a long weekend for me since the Boston Marathon was yesterday. Zander, along with most of the city had off of work, so we totally look advantage! We had an amazing weekend of wandering the Charles River & Harvard Square, cooking & eating awesome meals, drinking beer & mojitos and sleeping late. How was your weekend?

My Hood // Jamaica Plain [Boston Photo Tour]

It’s been a while, but the Boston Photo Tour is back! Today I’m giving you a peek into my hood! I feel that I’ve been able to capture such intimate details from my neighborhood, much more than other locations throughout my Boston Photo Tour. Sometimes you need time to explore and figure out what the area is all about. Sometimes you need to pass by a few times until the shot or light is right.

Arnold Arboretum

The Arnold Arboretum is the oldest public arboretum in North America and one of the world’s leading centers for the study of plants. It has an amazing collection and beautiful walking paths. It is very close to my new apartment and good thing because I’m obsessed! Here are some photos that Zander took on our last visit.
