Peacock Party Invites

I am so excited to share this invitation suite that I designed for my best friend’s bridal shower and bachelorette party! Even though the events were on the same day, each party was a special celebration, so I decided to design two separate cards that complemented each other. While the wedding colors are inspired by peacock feathers in a more subtle way, I wanted to be bright and bold for these invitations! I printed them at home and mailed the cards together in teal envelopes lined with chartreuse paper. I am really happy with the outcome and they definitely helped set the tone for our party marathon! Check out some of the event details, including a party survival kit!

Portfolio Updates – Long Overdue

I made a few updates to my design portfolio that were long overdue. Click through to see more about the work I did for each project.

Salvations – Event Identity and Collaterals

Salvations is a furniture design competition utilizing reclaimed, repurposed and recycled materials all to benefit New Orleans’ oldest local environmental non-profit, The Green Project. The Green Project keeps over 1.8 million pounds of usable materials from the waste stream and over 40,000 gallons of paint out of the ground water supply and wetlands. See full project.

YLC 25th Anniversary Logo and Role Model Gala Event Package

The Young Leadership Council has maintained its tradition of highlighting 25 members of the community each year since its inception in 1986. Role Models are selected each year by a committee comprised of past Role Model honorees and members of the YLC’s Board of Directors.

Honorees have distinguished themselves by: promoting a positive attitude and an unyielding desire to enhance the quality of life in our community; striving to unite our community in collaborative efforts for its future prosperity; serving as an exemplary role model to young talent in the community; taking an effective and vigorous leadership role in the community; and/or making significant contributions in their specific fields of endeavor. YLC Logo and Gala Invitation Design

The YLC has maintained its tradition of highlighting 25 members of the community each year since its inception in 1986. I designed the invitation set for the Young Leadership Council 2010 Role Model Awards Gala and was thrilled when they asked me to design the items for the gala again this year! I also designed a 25th anniversary variation of the YLC logo which is used on the gala items. It will also be incorporated into their branding for the upcoming year as they celebrate!

Nike Women’s Marathon & Team In Training Design Project

I got to work on a very special project last month. A fundraising project for Michele who is participating in Team In Training for the 2010 Nike Women’s Marathon. Team In Training’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The package that I designed includes a card telling Michele’s story and why this cause is important to her, along with a reply card and envelope to accept donations. These items were mailed in a chartreuse policy envelope. I also designed thank you note cards to be mailed out after the event with space for a special note to each contributor.

Please visit Michele’s Team in Training page to learn more or to donate to the cause!
