Hey guys, I have a very simple Valentine’s treat that is perfect for passing out to friends, classmates or secret crushes. All you need is chalkboard paint
*Chalboard paint takes a few days to cure, so don’t wait til the last minute!
These cinnamon apple chips may be the best thing I have ever made! The light dusting of cinnamon and sugar over the fresh apples makes this the perfect Fall sweet snack with some hot chocolate or cider.
Ingredients: 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon and 2 large apples. I used apples from the orchard when I went apple picking!
Directions: Preheat oven to 250°. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Using a knife or mandoline, thinly slice two apples. Arrange in a single layer on baking sheets; sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Bake the apple slices, turning every half hour, until dry, about 2 hours. Remove and transfer to racks to cool and enjoy! I am loving this sweet snack and hope you do too!

This month I’m going to join in on Susannah Conway’s August Break! The premise is to have a little break from the pressures and expectations of regular blogging. I don’t usually write very much anyway, so you may not even notice a difference. I’ll be posting one photo (or more!) per day, Monday to Friday and there will be less themed blog posts and more random photography by me! I may add some captions but for the most part I’ll let the photo do the talking. I have been very busy with a full time design position and freelance jobs. The August Break will allow me to catch up and plan some exciting blog posts for September as well as get some practice with my new camera! I love paper. Stationery, cards, invitations, posters, art prints, paper art and even paper samples. If it’s made out of paper, then I’m interested! I love looking through sample and promo books from paper companies. It helps me to visualize how things print on different papers. Nothing compares to seeing and feeling the paper itself. The promotional books are also great for inspiration and learning new techniques. If you are a designer you can order swatchbooks and promotional books from most paper companies. Some of my favorites are Mohawk, Neenah and Sappi. All of these companies also have great designer resource sections to their websites which I love!
On this Much Love Monday I would like to share with you the jewelry of Moorea Seal. Her Etsy shop is filled with gorgeous carefully crafted pieces. My favorites are the raw stone rings. I also find myself going to her shop to admire the amazing photographs of her products! Don’t you just love these photos?
I love visitors… my parents were in Boston for a week! I’ll be sharing photos from all of the fun day trips we took! I also love postcards, such a simple way to let someone know you are thinking of them. Also, a great way to collect a little something from places you visit.

I have never really been a donut lover. In grade school, whenever we had to vote as a class for a pizza party or a donut party, I was always disappointed when donuts won. But… Boston has a CRAZY amount of Dunkin’ Donuts and they are very tempting. I had been holding out, but on Valentine’s Day I treated myself to this cute pink strawberry donut and well… I think I may be addicted!

I ♥ good mail days. Last week I got a surprise gift from my sister… a pair of fleece lined tights! I can not wait to try them out. I really think they are going to be life changing, like she wrote on the package. I also received some free cards from Moo and Etsy that I will be using as thank you notes for my etsy shop. Even though the reason for the next item is not great, I did receive my new TomTom that same day (my first one was stolen after having it for only a month).
